OMG... the year is ending already?? i am not ready for it to end yet honestly... but as had been mentioned in many blogs i went to before i started this post, time flies... it really does... lolz... i still remember the first time i stepped into Disted College... i was filled with excitement as i am finally starting college... a 'dream' most high school students always think of... initially, i took up the Diploma for Business Course... and on orientation day, i found out that NONE of my friends are joining me.. that freaked me out... i hate being lonely... lolz... my friends would know... lolz.. hahahaha... i was in that course for 2 days... miserably sitting in the corner... listening to lectures which is a bit waste of time as it was English and study skills... lolz.. with the persuasion of gene and andy, i changed my course and also the course of my life to SAM...
SAM, South Australian Matriculation, as i first heard, is mostly based on course work, presentation and assignments... i dont mind the work and the assignments... i was always afraid of presentations... i would usually freak out and sweat profusely before and during a presentation... lolz... but it didnt occur to me that i would overcome that fear now and be ok with presentations... that is one of the most important things i learnt from SAM... be confident with yourself and go for what you are aiming for...
SAM requires you to choose 4 subjects, ESL is compulsory... my mind was still in the route of business... so i picked accounting, economics, mathematical studies and IT as my subjects... from there, i realize where my interests lie... and also from these subjects is where i found my friends...
i am a guy who is super shy among girls... trust me... i still am... lolz... so i usually mix with guys... moreover, in high school, there is only guys as SXI is a guys school with exceptions to the Form 6 students... in college, i was mixing with my friends from high school... from there, i got to know more and more friends which also consist of girls... and friends lead to other friends... even from other courses and other colleges...
these people are the people who are supporting and having my back throughout the year... from movies, pool, clubbing, dinners, lunches, sleepovers, parties to work, presentations, assignments, classes, studies etc... without them, my year would be empty... they are the ones who made me want to come to college throughout the year...
this week seemed to be the last week of college... so fast.... so fast.... SAM students and several lecturers had dress codes during the week... ironically, the first day of the week was my birthday... ahaaha... well... my friends took some time to surprise me and i am really really grateful for all you guys had done... and tks for all the cake, presents and BRICKS... lolz... the week just went on as usual with presents and cakes for lecturers on the last few days of classes with our lecturers... some lecturers was reduced into tears when they got surprised... hahahhaa...
today... or should i say yesterday... was the last day of college... the only class we had was math... did a few questions and everyone started to cam whore as the class was dismissed early... SAM students also celebrated a farewell for the lecturers at prontip... it was a buffet and my friends and i had the privilege to sit with our lecturers Ms Lucy, Mrs Allen, Ms Geong and Ms Jenny... the atmosphere was really incredible... there was laughter at every corner of each table... mostly from michelle... lolz... the lecturers were all sporting and fun... they were also really surprised when michelle brought the cake in for them... guess what was the theme song for lunch?? HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! lolz... YES!!! hahaha... well... today was a day to remember for all SAM students... i would personally want to thank maddy for organizing the lunch for all of us... THANK YOU MADDY!!!!
much happened during these 10 months in college... from the sweet to the bitter... and guess what?? college is now at its closing chapter... with finals in another 8 days, it is just unbelievable how fast the clock is ticking... it seemed only yesterday that it was the first day of college... lonely and shy... now its the end of college and i aint lonely anymore... lolz... trust me on that... this page of my book is just too difficult to let go off... i would really want to read it over and over again... the next page is still to come but its just really hard to turn the page...
to my dearest friends... i would miss you all greatly... i really hope we can seriously keep in touch until the end of time... we might split up now but we might meet again in the near future... hopefully... i will never forget you all... its like one page of a book... although you are reading the next page, you are still thinking and remembering about the last page you read... you guys and girls are the best and i thank the good Lord i got to know you lot of friends...
There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship - Saint Thomas Aquinasto all my lecturers... Ms Jenny, Ms Geong, Mrs Allen, Ms Lucy, Ms Vimala and Mr Shai... i sincerely thank you all for the hard work, patience, guidance and help you gave all of us throughout the year... THANK YOU and i really hope you enjoyed yourself today... lolz...
i am still constantly thinking of what would i do and be after my finals... i hope my friends and i stay close and cherish every moment we have for each other... i wont be blogging so soon until maybe after my finals... so check you all later...
